"One-piece wooden 'Piantino' handle and shaft, manual

PIANTINO This type of shaft is characterised by the shaft and handle being one and the same thing, a single piece of wood. We can produce it in various sizes and types of wood: chestnut, ash, cherry, beech, maple. It is also possible to proceed with personalisation (e.g. initials) by means of a nameplate or with engraving directly on wood.

See the attached PDF for more information: Customisable rod WITH HANDLE

The frame is the supporting structure of the umbrella and must be strong but flexible in order to withstand the weather.

. For long manual opening frames we make spiders with ribs and accessories selected directly by the customer.

The product thus becomes unique and of a handcrafted quality guaranteed by the careful assembly of each frame.

The long shaft can be:

  • in wood (beech, chestnut, cherry, ash and oak) with 14 or 16 mm diameter

  • steel (c12, strong steel, fiberglass) with diameter 10, 12 or 14 mm

  • Italian-made nickel-plated iron with 10, 12 or 14 mm diameter

  • chromed or painted

It is possible to choose a frame with 8, 10, 12 or 16 ribs, which can be black, gold or nickel-plated; accessories such as runner, double notch and ferrule can also be made of plastic or metal according to the customer's wishes.
